My name is Robert McConnell (that's me on the right); welcome to my website, rmcconnell.com. I am a native of Brooklyn, New York, and I am currently in the process of completing undergraduate work at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California.

About this site
This website contains a collection of my photography, mainly that of public transit, cities and urban infrastructure, and commercial aviation. I have long been an enthusiast and advocate of urban public transit and my photography has centred itself on that subject. Although transit may seem mundane to some, it is an integral part of our society, and to let transit's history go undocumented would do it a great disservice.

Technical notes
In order to view this site properly, JavaScript must be enabled in your browser's appropriate 'settings' panel. I also recommend calibrating your computer monitor in order to view this site's images with the best results. Some pages on this website also display Chinese characters, and if your system does not have the appropriate language support software, they will appear as boxes, question marks, or garbled text.

Some photo pages on this website use the proprietary Lightbox image viewer to display pictures. Clicking on a photo thumbnail will activate the viewer, with the image and description displayed in a white frame in the center of your screen, surrounded by a gray background. To view the set as a slideshow, hover your mouse over the right or left sides of the image, and respective "Next" and "Previous" buttons will appear. You may also use your arrow keys to achieve the same result. To close the image viewer, click the "Close" button in the lower right hand corner of the viewer, click anywhere on the gray background outside the viewer, or press the ESC key.
