I was born in 1989 in Brooklyn, New York. Initially we lived in Greenpoint, then moved across the East River to Battery Park City in Manhattan for a year, but eventually settled back in Brooklyn about a mile south of the Brooklyn Bridge. The bulk of my childhood was spent at Saint Ann's School, graduating as part of the Class of 2007.
Seeking a change in venue, I attended Occidental College (known fondly as "Oxy") in Los Angeles for the next four years. I quickly discovered, however, that Southern California simply didn't live up to what I had expected of it for reasons that are too numerous to discuss here, and after graduating from Oxy in May 2011 with the A.B. degree in East Asian Studies, I began the final trek eastward once again.
Currently I'm back on the East Coast where I intend to spend the rest of the foreseeable future, dividing my time between Brooklyn and my extended family in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
While at Occidental, I discovered my passion for graphic design and jumped in headfirst, designing various promotional material for student organizations and events. Over the course of one semester, I gradually taught myself the technical aspects of typography and design, thanks to the endless stream of knowledge made possible by the Internet. Now I've amassed a small portfolio of my work and I'm always looking to expand it.
